10 albums We can’t wait to see live after COVID-19
Talk about a year’s roller coaster.
In 2020, the world was on the verge of complete closure: events, nightclubs and concerts were canceled due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. And more than a year later, the future of live entertainment remains a question mark.
Although COVID-19 kept us physically separate, the power of music proved it could keep everyone connected, too. People experienced concerts via Zoom and on their balconies within the confines of social distancing.
From Club Quarantine to Verzus, people also relied on social media to stay entertained and make up for lost time. This is also around the same time that many artists dropped some of the greatest songs to be enjoyed at home through TikTok viral challenges.
Some of the songs for the challenges that we couldn’t get out of our heads include “Tootsie Slide” by Drake, “Savage Love” by Jason Derulo and “say it” by Doja Cat. In the virus competitions, people danced through the quarantine lows.
It has been over a year since the first quarantine was put on hold, and with vaccines now available, many states have announced that concerts and other events can resume with precautionary measures. The songs, which were intended for a personal live audience, will finally have another chance to unfold.
