Carly Pearce reveals her enamel had been knocked out in a “scary” accident previous to the 2020 CMA Awards
“It looked really bad. It was scary. I was very fortunate to find doctors who would help me and understand the pressures I was under,” explains Carly. “But every day I was saying, ‘Please, Lord, let my face heal so I can do this’ because this is such a great moment.”
But it’s safe to say that Carly doesn’t trip over her bad fall. In fact, she celebrated an early win ahead of the CMA Awards. She won the Musical Event of the Year Award for her single “I Hope You’re Happy Now” with Lee.
“I’m just very grateful,” she said to E! News. “I am happy now!”
In addition, her enchanting emerald green dress was worthy of its own distinction. The singer “Closer to You” lit the room in a strapless design by Retrofete that she revealed and that was chosen by her mother.
“So proud to say my mom and I styled this look together this year,” she shared on Instagram. “What a dream night.”
