Daisy Ridley is the whole lot for Child Yoda’s egg-eating on the Mandalorian

The Mandalorian Season 2 sparked a debate that has not yet subsided. Baby Yoda devoured Frog Lady’s eggs, said to be the last of her bloodline, and which the alien desperately wanted to bring to safety. There are fans who find the scenes adorable, while some are still surprised that it is expected to be funny. Well, Star Wars favorite Rey, aka Daisy Ridley, falls into the first category and while happy with the “perfect ending” of her character, she’s sure The Mandalorian is on the right track.

While many are busy discussing that Baby Yoda, chewing the eggs, is a sure sign that he will turn to the Dark Side in the future, Ridley finds nothing hideously evil in the scenes and recognizes them for what they are, just as an extra dose of child adorable.

“Look, Mando needs to eat, Yoda needs to get strong. That’s just that. No, I’m like ‘Yoda, do your thing.’ The creature [Frog Lady] I had to be where she had to be with the eggs. Everything is good. It was wonderful.”

Former Lucasfilm creative arts manager Phil Szostak also provided clarification to answer the growing controversy surrounding the scene, stating that it was only added for the comedic effect. “For the record, Chapter 10 of the Mandalorian makes it clear that the lady’s eggs are unfertilized, like the hen eggs that many of us enjoy. But obviously chickens are not sentient beings, and the child who eats the eggs is purposely disruptive, z comedic effect, “he wrote on Twitter. Fans of horror know that disturbing things make some of us laugh and some of us squirm, or both. Your mileage may vary. “

In case how Daisy RidleyYou too thought the Baby Yoda egg scene was funny and caught yourself saying “Aww!” more than once, Funko recently added a POP! Number the same to its growing list of Baby Yoda Merch for 2020.

Given that Ridley is rising to defend Baby Yoda, and so is the growing trend for the Mandalorian to add familiar Star Wars characters to his story, one might wonder if Rey Skywalker will eventually be introduced to this galaxy far, far away. But as always, the actress made it clear that she has no plans to visit the character again.

“I think the beauty of Episode IX for me is that it ends with such hope and potential. I just think this was Rey’s perfect ending. The big fight was in Episodes VII, {@VID:[email protected]} and IX. I really think she’s probably running through the woods somewhere and having a blast. I’m totally happy with how this story ended. I just don’t know what else she could do that I didn’t have to do. Plus, there are so many amazing characters in Star Wars that it’s an amazing thing. I was watching the new episode of Mandalorian and it’s so exciting that the places it can go beyond are so exciting even where it is now. ”

Even if Ridley isn’t ready to grace the Star Wars universe anytime soon, we still have a chance to catch the sequel trilogy on Disney +! This message comes to us via IGN.
