Dancing with the Stars Crowns a winner for Season 29

The season 29 finale of Dancing with the Stars began with a staggering performance from the eliminated professional dancers to “Flashdance (What a Feeling)”, and then Tyra Banks strutted to “I’m So Excited” by the Pointer Sisters, the one Wearing blue ball gown made her look like a very chic cake and some earrings that may or may not be the Deathly Hallows.

Tonight each finalist will do a repetition dance and a freestyle dance. Scroll down to find out who won.

Here is ABC’s TV program for Fall 2020

Kaitlyn Bristowe and Artem Chigvintsev
Dance / Song: Argentine Tango / “Toxic” by Britney Spears

How they did it: This is a good choice to repeat as it was arguably Kaitlyn’s best dance of the season. Of course, there’s always the possibility that they don’t do justice to the first gig – they’re sharp and dramatic, but the dance feels a little low-energy to me. However, the judges do not agree, they amass the praise.
Result: 30/30

Nelly and Daniella Karagach
Dance / song: Samba / “Rhythm of the night” by DeBarge
How they did it:
This is a good repetition dance as the original score was 24, so there’s a lot of room for improvement – and improvement that it does. Nelly has come a very long way since this competition started and this samba is great. Nelly still can’t quite dance to Nev or Kaitlyn’s level, but gosh, he’s improved and he looks like he’s got an absolute blast.
Result: 27/30

Nev Schulman and Jenna Johnson
Dance / song: Paso Doble / “Black Swan Swan Lake” by District 78

How they did it: Again, this is another one that got 30/30 for the first time so there’s really no need to deal with it, but Nev and Jenna are still doing a great job. It’s just as dramatic as the first time, and unlike Kaitlyn, this one is super energetic. There is only one intensity here that can be felt.
Result: 30/30

Justina Machado and Sasha Farber
Dance / song: Cha Cha / “Respect” by Aretha Franklin
How they did it:
This is a joy from start to finish. Justina is having a great time out there, as is Nelly. The nice thing about these two is that the pressure is gone on them. The other two are likely to top the list, so they seem a bit tense. Justina and Nelly can just go out and have fun during this, so they kill it. So happy. This was also a great repeat dance as it was one of the lowest scores Justina got when she first danced at 21/30 – she improved by leaps and bounds.
Result: 30/30

Nelly and Daniella Karagach
Dance / Song: Freestyle / “Savage” by Megan Thee Stallion and “Hypnotize” by The Notorious BIG
How they did it:
Thats fun. It’s like ballroom dancing meets meal in the club. There are some flash lifts and Nelly can really show off his hip hop moves. It might turn off some of the older viewers in the audience, but I really enjoyed it.
Result: 30/30

Kaitlyn Bristowe and Artem Chigvintsev
Dance / Song: Freestyle / “Sparkling Diamonds” by Moulin Rouge
How they did it:
This wasn’t my favorite freestyle – it could be when Nev secured his victory. It’s a flapper routine from the 1920s, but with some funky elements, which is a great motif, but the dance hits me a little flat. It was good, but not great. However, the judges are crazy about it.
Result: 30/30

Nev Schulman and Jenna Johnson
Dance / song: Freestyle / “Singin ‘in the Rain” by District 78
How they did it:
Well, if Kaitlyn’s freestyle didn’t secure victory for Nev, as sure as the hell. This Gene Kelly-esque “Singin ‘in the Rain” routine is phenomenal. PHENOMENAL. Nev deserves to win. So if he doesn’t win, it will be a big voter misstep.
Result: 30/30

Justina Machado and Sasha Farber
Dance / song: Freestyle /. “Let’s Get Loud” by Jennifer Lopez and “Bamboleo” by The Gypsy Kings
How they did it:
This is a super cute routine, but it’s a shame the show didn’t end with Nev’s freestyle. Technically, this routine was just so good. But Justina is a little ball of energy and it’s just so fun to see. So it makes sense that they would end up on her.
Result: 30/30

The winner: The fourth place couple is Justina / Sasha, followed by Nelly and Daniella in third place. The runner-up couple is Nev and Jenna, which means Kaitlyn Bristowe is the 29th season winner. Impressive. That’s a little surprise.
