Harry Types’ movie ‘Do not Fear Darling’ is on maintain as a result of coronavirus
Olivia Wilde‘s new movie Don’t worry darling With Florence Pugh and Harry Styles stopped production for approximately two weeks after testing positive for COVID-19.
Deadline brought the news, reporting that the person who tested positive was not “a member of the main cast but someone who was in close proximity that the shutdown was deemed necessary”.
New Line reportedly confirmed the temporary shutdown while the studio conducts further testing to see if anyone else working on Don’t Worry Darling has been exposed. As soon as this positive test was reported, everyone on the set immediately went into isolation, and no one else has reportedly tested positive yet. Wilde started filming a few weeks ago, and photos of the star cast have already emerged from the set in downtown Los Angeles. Production will resume after the mandatory quarantine period has expired.
Don’t worry, Darling is just the latest production to hit a COVID-related setback, and it shows that even with strict on-set protocols, this virus can’t really be stopped. New Line’s sister studio, Warner Bros., also ceased production The Batman after star Robert Pattinson Reportedly tested positive. These production delays can be costly, but New Line can weather the storm better than an indie production, for example. The truth is, these delays are the new normal because as much as a studio can control security on set, it can’t haunt hundreds of adults after hours when the cameras stop rolling.
Set in the 1950s, Don’t Worry Darling is a psychological thriller in which Pugh appears as an unhappy housewife who is slowly beginning to question her own health when she notices strange events in her small, utopian community in the California desert . Styles will play Pugh’s beautiful husband, who loves her very much but hides a dark secret from her.
Chris Pine will star as the revered leader of a mysterious construction site that includes all men outside of town, and includes the rest of the cast KiKi Layne, Gemma Chan and Nick Kroll. In addition to directing a script by, Wilde will also play an important supporting role Katie Silbermanwho rewrote the original script from Carey and Shane Van Dyke.
Wilde and Silberman will also produce Don’t Worry Darling with Vertigo’s Roy Lee and Miri Yoonwhile having the Van Dykes Executive Producing Catherine Hardwicke. New Line executives Daria Cercek and Celia Khong will oversee the project for the studio for which the project has priority.
