Huge Marvel Girl 1984 spoilers by chance revealed throughout Gal Gadot TV interview
Warning. SPOILERS AHEAD! The actions for Wonder Woman 1984 are well underway in the days leading up to the movie’s big release. The main actress Gal Gadot recently had an interview with famous British talk show host Graham Norton. In the middle of the interview, Norton accidentally mentioned a major spoiler related to the film and the appearance of Wonder Woman’s invisible jet.
Norton: Wonder Woman fans are happy because on this excursion we see the invisible plane. Well, we obviously didn’t see it, it’s invisible. But the invisible plane is inside.
Gal Gadot: I don’t know what you’re talking about, Graham … you just gave away a big, big spoiler.
Norton: We could cut that out.
The news is welcome to fans and confirms months of unconfirmed speculation. The invisible jet is an important part of Wonder Woman mythology in the comics. The jet was built using the science and magic of Themysciran and allows Princess Diana aka Wonder Woman to move in and out of restricted areas undetected. It was the figure’s main means of transportation before it acquired the ability to fly.
The jet can already be seen in the animation and on the Wonder Woman TV show with Lynda Carter. But this will be the first time the jet has appeared in a live action movie. Aside from the jet, the 1984 Wonder Woman trailer revealed that the story will include other iconic pieces of its main heroine’s weapon arsenal.
This arsenal also includes her tiara, which doubles as a destructive boomerang, and the golden armor Diana wears on special occasions. Gal Gadot told CinemaBlend how excited she was to learn about the final piece of her superhero uniform.
“It was amazing. First I saw the sketch of what we are going to design, it blew me away. It was so beautiful. And it’s like with women and clothes. Golden armor is not something a woman would ever try on and I said, ‘Great, I have the best chance to try this crazy costume!’ ”
The gold armor was a key part of the 1984 Wonder Woman promotions, and fans have reacted positively to its appearance. According to Gadot, it took a lot of planning and preparation to make the armor look right and still be practical.
“It took a lot of work to get the look right and make sure it was practical so we could move around in it. It wasn’t particularly comfortable, it wasn’t like wearing pajamas. There were a lot of things keep going, but it was so worth it, and I’m so glad we made it. And Lindy Hemming just did the best job with all the costumes. ”
Directed by Patty Jenkins, Wonder Woman stars in 1984 as Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, Kristen Wiig, Pedro Pascal and Natasha Rothwell. The film will hit theaters and HBO Max on December 25th and will debut in international markets on December 16th. This news was first published by ET Canada with additional reports from CinemaBlend.
