‘IG Model’ Launches GoFundMe To Help Payback On PPP Loans! (‘Help the Feds after me’)

A popular Instagram model reportedly set up a GoFundMe page to help her repay a PPP loan, according to a new GoFundme page. The site that MTO News has confirmed exists, plans to raise $ 20,000, was started by a woman named Lakeisha Golden.

A photo of a pretty IG model was posted on the site, along with the caption, “I got 20,000 credits each, now the government is helping me, I can’t go to jail! I have 3 kids who need me !!! “

The site, which has been viewed by more than 100,000 people, has already raised more than $ 4,000.

A PPP loan is a Small Business Administration backed loan that companies can use to keep their workforce busy during the COVID-19 crisis. The Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) is a loan designed to provide small businesses with a direct incentive to keep their workers on payroll. The program is aimed at employers with a maximum of 500 employees. These include sole proprietorships, independent contractors, as well as the self-employed, private not-for-profit and veteran organizations under 501 (c) (19). Some borrowers may be eligible for PPP loan approval.

Unfortunately, applying for a PPP loan was relatively quick and easy – and many unscrupulous people fraudulently applied for the money.

The Department of Justice has filed criminal charges against at least 209 people in 119 cases of Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) fraud since banks and other lenders began processing loan applications on April 3, 2020 on behalf of the Small Business Administration only Beginning.
