Jennette McCurdy posts about new venture after absence from iCarly Revival Announcement
Jennette McCurdy continues to focus on the future.
Teen TV fans were thrilled after it was announced on Wednesday December 9th that iCarly is returning with a revival of the streaming service Paramount +. There will be original stars Miranda Cosgrove, Jerry Trainor and Nathan Kress and is expected to release new episodes in early 2021.
However, followers were just as quick to express disappointment that McCurdy was not mentioned as a return to the restarted project. McCurdy played Sam Puckett on the Nickelodeon show, which emerged after six seasons in November 2012. She repeated the role of Sam and Cat opposite Ariana Grandealthough that series ended in July 2014 after 35 episodes.
McCurdy has not yet commented publicly on the revival or whether she might appear on it later, but she recorded her Instagram story shortly after it was announced that she would update her fans on her podcast Empty Inside.
“Also a few big thanks to everyone who helped out in the first season of empty inside,” she wrote on Wednesday, tagging three people. “You are incredible !!”
