Marshmello’s $ 350,000 truck stolen for Joyride and tracked by the police

Last year Marshmello got a ridiculously large and expensive truck, and yesterday it was apparently stolen from a dealer and taken on a joyride that turned into a police chase.

The $ 350,000 Hennessey VelociRaptor 6 × 6 was stolen from a dealership and ended up in a police chase on the streets of Los Angeles.

“Thanks to a turning circle between a container ship and a mid-century ranch house,” writes Jalopnik, “a whopping 6 × 6 truck is a terrible choice for dodging police officers, at least in an urban setting.”

The LAPD told local news that the thief rode a bike to the dealer and threw it in the truck bed before taking the vehicle, which you can see in the first tweet below. After the driver tried to turn into a narrow street, the truck hit a light pole and deactivated the vehicle so that the police could arrest him.

The suspect has not been identified and, according to the sheriff’s department, may have been under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

Not the best turning radius on this vehicle. pic.twitter.com/LE3JK6xHEn
