Mr. Mayor Trailer Reveals Tina Fey’s New Sitcom, Ted Danson
From the makers of ’30 Rock ‘and’ Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt ‘.
From cheers to The good placewith a little Becker between, Ted Danson is certainly the king of television comedy. Now we have a new sitcom starring Danson that we can own, binge, and track every fast-flying joke along the way. After all, it’s from the maestros behind it 30 skirt and Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. Lord MayorWith Danson as the potential mayor coming to NBC early next year, and we have the first trailer below.
Tina Fey and Robert Carlock This sitcom was co-developed, produced and originally developed as a Jack Donaghy-centric spinoff before being upgraded to this new version. Danson is running for Los Angeles Mayor, despite his lack of political experience and general fondness for gimmicks, in order to reconnect emotionally with his jaded teenage daughter (Kyla Kenedy, The Walking Dead). He’s got a baton behind him – the wondrous comedy ensemble of Bobby Moynihan, Vella Lovell, and Mike Cabellon – and a virulent critic before him – Holly HunterThank goodness – and all kinds of rat-a-tat jokes and outrageous characters in between.

If you are looking for Parks and recreation With the live-action cartoon energy of Fey and Carlock’s other works, it looks like it’s itchy and annoying. While broad network sitcoms are in mischief compared to streaming and cable drama, I’m very grateful to have something so brazenly “comedy-centric” to hang out with soon. Mayors fight!
Mr. Mayor is joining NBC on Jan. 7 at 8 p.m. EST. Check out the official trailer and recap below.
