Sluggish Magic Releases Poignant Fourth Album “It is The Finish Of The World However It is Alright”
It’s been three years since the last album by Slow magic, 2017 float. Well, the aptly titled title is the end of the world, but it’s okay and it’s a much-needed breath of fresh air in an overwhelmingly stressful time.
Originally planned as a 4-part release for the whole year, the plans were changed with COVID and the accompanying tour and release schedule had to be changed. The first single, “Home”, was released on March 27th so it was a long wait for this one. In the meantime, he’s dropped the Closer 2 U EP, at least part of the album we now have available.
It’s the end of the world, but it’s okay to span 12 blissful tracks with names like Manila Killa, RUNN, Paperwhite, Women in Hiatus, and Mariya Stoeva.
“This album is a collection of songs that I’ve worked on over the years and that mean a lot to me. The concept and title started out as an upbeat twist on a science fiction apocalypse, but over the past year the album’s meaning has evolved as 2020 showed us that sometimes it really does feel like the end of the world. The idea that there is always light in the dark applies, and while these songs are not written for current affairs in the world, they can hopefully help you find comfort and optimism even when things get out of hand. “- Slow magic
