The Mandalorian receives a retro-style Star Wars Figures & Monopoly sport for Mando Mondays
Hasbro has unveiled their upcoming retro Star Wars action figures for The Mandalorian. Retro characters include The Mandalorian, Cara Dune, IG-11, Kuiil, Moff Gideon, Greef Karga, and the child, aka Baby Yoda. If that wasn’t enough, in time for the holidays and the second season of The Mandalorian, which premieres this week (October 30th), a new Monopoly game based on the hit Disney + series is also on the way. Mando Monday started today and Star Wars fans are already trying hard to pre-order everything.
The Mandalorian figures are officially part of Hasbro’s Star Wars Retro Collection. Each of the 3.75-inch figures are detailed to look like a character from the Disney + live-action series, with design and details inspired by the 1970s war of stars Numbers. All of the figures look like they would have easily matched the original toys from the 1970s that hardcore fans are likely to jump on. Each figure is currently available for pre-order through Hasbro’s website for $ 9.99, with a limit of two per customer.
The bad news about the Mandalorian retro characters is that they won’t be available until July 1, 2021, according to the Hasbro site. The figures of the Star Wars Retro Collection on a 3.75-inch scale are provided with the classic Kenner branding and weathered packaging. The site warns that each figure is being sold separately and there doesn’t seem to be a box at the moment. Each figure comes with three accessories, and collectors can view the figures, each with five points of articulation, in their action figure collection. Or you can just leave them in the package.
For fans looking for more of the Mandalorian retro action figures, there is at least one more. The new version of Star Wars: The Mandalorian Monopoly includes a remaining Stormtrooper figure from the retro collection, which is currently available for pre-order. The game is expected to ship on November 23rd. It contains a game board, four character tokens, the child token, four character skill cards, the child’s card, the Moff Gideon token, the Incinerator Stormtrooper token, the Death Trooper token and nine Imperial enemy cards (Moff Gideon, four Incinerator Stormtroopers, four Death Troopers, 16 hideout cards, 20 signet cards, 75 imperial plastic credits, two dice and instructions.
It should be noted that The Mandalorian and Remnant Stormtrooper retro figure pack is only available from the official Disney Store. Just in time for Christmas, a lot more products from the hit Disney + show are likely to hit shelves, but the retro action figures are likely to leave quickly. While it doesn’t appear to be a limited edition, there is a limit to how many people can buy, which could mean that they don’t plan on making more of it if they sell out. You can pre-order the Mandalorian retro action figures on the official Hasbro Pulse website.
