Cybill Shepherd teams up with Saturday Night Live vet Vanessa Bayer: The alum of Cybill and Moonlighting is featured in Showtime’s comedy pilot I Love This for You (fka Big Deal) with Bayer.

In the project Bayer plays “a character who is inspired by her own past and who overcame childhood leukemia in order to realize her lifelong dream of getting a job as a successful host of a home shopping channel,” according to the official summary . Shepherd will portray Patricia Kunken, the icy, enigmatic founder and executive director of a popular home shopping network. The cast also includes Molly Shannon (The Other Two, SNL).

Shepherd’s other TV credits include The Client List, Psych, and The L Word.

* The series premiere of Kaley Cuoco’s The Flight Attendant is now available for free on the HBO Max website before debuting on the streaming service on Thursday, November 26th.

* Tina Fey will host the two-hour special, One Night Only: The Best of Broadway, which will air Thursday, December 10th at 8/7 am on NBC. The program, which will benefit Broadway Cares, will include appearances by Ain’t Too Proud, Chicago, Jagged Little Pill, Diana: The Musical, Jersey Boys, Mean Girls and Rent, as well as an appearance by the Cast of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.

* Mariah Carey’s Magical Christmas Special will be released on Apple TV + on Friday, December 4th. Special guests are Tiffany Haddish, Billy Eichner, Ariana Grande, Jennifer Hudson, Snoop Dogg, Jermaine Dupri, Misty Copeland and Mykal-Michelle Harris.

* Apple TV + and PBS have teamed up to air A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving on Sunday, November 22nd at 7:30 p.m. (CET) on PBS and PBS Kids, while A Charlie Brown Christmas on Sunday, December 13th PBS and PBS Kids will air at 7:30 p.m. (A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving will also be streamed for free on Apple TV + November 25-27, while a Charlie Brown Christmas will be free from December 11-13.)

* MTV has ordered another season from Siesta Key. Production is slated to begin this week in Sarasota, Florida, per COVID-19 safety requirements.

* Apple TV + ‘s Truth Be Told has added the following actors to its season two cast: Merle Dandridge (Greenleaf), Jason O’Mara (The Man in the High Castle), Alona Tal (SEAL Team), David Lyons ( Revolution), Hale Appleman (The Magi), Christopher Backus (Jett), Cranston Johnson (Filthy Rich), Anthony Lee Medina (The I-Land) and Mychala Lee.
