TVLine Articles: Energy Ebook II Trailer, BattleBots Return Date, and Extra

“Tariq, are you generally good or bad?”

That’s the question being asked in a new trailer for Power Book II: Ghost, which is returning for its midseason premiere on Starz announced Sunday, December 6th at 8 / 7c. The first five episodes of season one will air sequentially at 2:45 p.m. ET / PT on December 6, before the series returns.

The spin-off begins shortly after the events of Power and follows Tariq St. Patrick as he “grapples with a new world order: his father is dead and his mother Tasha is charged with the murder of her son,” the official summary reads . “Not to mention the academic requirements of the Ivy League University that Tariq attends to earn his legacy. For the first time in his life, Tariq is forced to split his time between school and the hustle and bustle to pay Davis MacLean, the glorious defense attorney who is Tasha’s only hope of getting out of jail and escaping prosecution by newcomer-born US attorney Cooper Saxe.

“With no better options, Tariq turns to the well-known drug game and becomes entangled in a cutthroat family led by Monet Stewart Tejada, who have been around much longer than him. As Tariq tries to balance his drug operation with his grades, love life, and family, he finds that the only way to avoid the same fate his father faced is to become him – just better. “
