Big day for all Vikings: the wait for the final episodes is almost over.
Vikings Season 6 Part 2 will premiere on Wednesday, December 30th on Amazon instead of premiering on the History Channel as usual, Deadline reports. All of the last 10 episodes of the historical drama will be released on Amazon on the same day. Vikings will still air the second half of their final season on History, although it will be at a later date that has not yet been announced.
As early as July, the cast – including Travis Fimmel, Katheryn Winnick, Alexander Ludwig, Clive Standen, Jordan Patrick Smith and the creator Michael Hirst – met at Comic-Con to remember their time at the show, and gave the Fans take a look at one of the final episodes. In the clip, Ivar (Alex Høgh) prepares for the fight before seeing his older brother Björn, whom Ivar believed was dead.
About what fans should expect, Hirst said: “The characters we all – including myself – have come to love will all have to decide their fate. Whether they live or die is of course in the hands of the gods – although I am one Had hand it too. “He added,” I think the ending to the saga is deeply gratifying, an appropriate and meaningful ending. And I hope all of our fans feel the same way. I’ve tried to do justice to all of my characters and myself hope I made it. ”
While Vikings will draw to a close by the end of the month, the drama will live on through a Netflix spin-off, Vikings: Valhalla, which takes place 100 years after the events of the original series.
