Vivid eyes share the brand new music “Miracle of Life” to help deliberate parenting: pay attention
Bright Eyes shared a new song that will benefit Planned Parenthood. “Miracle of Life” is available exclusively at Bandcamp until October 28th. Conor Oberst and Phoebe Bridgers sing on the track, which includes electric piano and synthesizer by Nathaniel Walcott, electric guitar and pedal steel by Mike Mogis, bass by Flea and drums by Jon Theodore. Hear “Miracles of Life” below.
In a press release, Conor Oberst said:
That song shouldn’t exist in America in 2020. It’s a protest song I think. Or maybe just a little story about what was, what is still in many parts of the world, and what could be back here in this country if the GOP manages to reshape the Supreme Court and all of the hard-fought advances that are necessary for procreation have been achieved to push back rights over the past 50 years. Hopefully, if we all work together and vote, this song will sound as irrelevant and out of date as it should.
This Sunday October 25th, Bright Eyes will be performing at Planned Parenthood’s Village of Love virtual festival. The festival is also accompanied by Angel Olsen, Kathleen Hanna, Phoebe Bridgers, Weyes Blood, Parfümgenie and Tenacious D. The event begins on Sunday at 9:00 p.m. Eastern. Check out the full list in the poster below.
Before the festival there is a silent auction with items from Ad-Rock, Best Coast, Ty Segall, Tame Impala and others. The auction runs until October 30th. The proceeds will benefit the planned parenting of Los Angeles and New York. Also take a look at the poster of the auction.
