Why Walt Disney World and Disneyland should celebrate both immersion and inclusion
I love Disneyland and Walt Disney World, and as much as Disneyland feels like home to me, it isn’t. At the very least, it is no longer my home than it is or can be for anyone else, and we need to be able to share that love. We have to remember that the purpose of these theme parks is to be special for everyone. The purpose of these new steps toward inclusion, the changes to attractions, and the added bonuses to the “Disney look” is to help the Walt Disney Company realize that they have long overlooked many people and are finally taking steps to however small they may be to fix all of this.
