Will Spider-Man Three deliver again Willem Dafoes Inexperienced Goblin & Thomas Haden Churchs Sandman too?
Spider-Man 3 Willem Dafoes Green Goblin and Thomas Haden Churchs Sandman are reportedly returning. The cast of the highly anticipated sequel is evolving into a monster with a massive cast of past and present. Benedict Cumberbatch confirmed his appearance in the sequel. So the multiverse idea could fit into the entire Spider-Man 3 plot. Jamie Foxx confirmed, then deleted the confirmation that he would return as Electro in the film, and now Alfred Molina is named Dr. Returning octopus.
In addition to Jaime Foxx and Alfred Molina, Kirsten Dunst (Mary Jane), Emma Stone (Gwen Stacy), Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield are also believed to star with Tom Holland in Spider-Man 3, and it is widely rumored that Willem Dafoe will appear as the Green Goblin and Thomas Haden Church as Sandman will return, which makes for a very interesting cast and further points to a live-action Spider-Verse film that will air at Sony in the near future.
If all of that wasn’t enough, it was also heavily rumored that Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock would appear in Spider-Man 3. Basically, even the wildest casting rumors are starting to linger, leading Marvel fans to wonder exactly what Sony is, and Marvel Studios have their sleeves up for the sequel, which is currently being shot in Atlanta. There are so many places for history to go, especially with Green Goblin and Sandman returning, which will help both Sony and their Marvel projects and Marvel Studios and their future plans.
With the casting rumors going wild, there are also some pretty wild theories about when Tom Holland will stop playing Peter Parker for the MCU. One theory is that after Spider-Man 3, Holland will make another film that will feature the Fantastic Four. Jon Watts is behind the camera for the upcoming movie after capturing all three MCU Spider-Man films. That would make sense, but it’s easy to see Holland staying with Sony for a lot longer depending on where the next film picks up the current Peter Parker story. Regardless, the next Spidey chapter will have to answer many questions, no matter how many more films are on the way.
Kevin Feige, head of Marvel Studios, has just announced that the movie Fantastic Four is currently in development. Jon Watts is a director. Some hardcore fans believe that in Spider-Man: Far From Home, Watts put an Easter egg over the film when Spider-Man swings past a sign that reads, “We’re very excited to show you what’s next.” . 2 and 3 followed by a question mark where a 4 should be. Could the question mark represent the movie Fantastic Four? We just have to wait and see. The Illuminerdi was the first to cover Willem Dafoe’s Green Goblin and Thomas Haden Church’s Sandman on Spider-Man 3.
